Located in Gastown, this cafe is located in the sweetest little nook, surrounded by brick buildings and other great businesses. Birds & the Beets is worth a visit if you like a relaxed cafe. They have fresh squeezed juice for sale at their storefront, amazing breakfast options, and an exciting drink menu such as their oat latte slushie.

The logo, colours and interior of the cafe felt welcoming.
However, their prices were on the higher side so for that reason I will not be going back.

I keep coming back for the donuts! They were light, fluffy, and not too sweet.
Goldie’s Bakery & Cafe’s coffee was average. I think there’s better coffee out there, but definitely not better donuts.
GOLDIE'S BAKERY & CAFE
First off, the strawberry matcha was not only beautiful, but also delicious–not too sweet and not too bitter. My friends and I tried a variety of their pastries, which were all so good!
The cafe is extremely busy so it’s hard to find a table, but when you do, it’s a great atmosphere for chatting with your friends–we had book club here!
There’s even a section of the cafe I like to call the “Friend’s Couch” as this corner feels like you’re in Central Perk.
